Emy Carr - Founder

Emy CarrEmy has over thirty years of practical experience in IT systems design, development and architecture on large mainframe, UNIX and Windows platforms. Emy designed and implemented her first decision support system in 1987, then the largest in Australia, with one table consisting of 23 million rows. For the past seventeen years, Emy has specialised in solutions architecture and design of Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, Operational Data Store, CRM, and Metadata Integration. Her recent consulting engagements include: enterprise information management and business intelligence architectures for health, utilities and government organisations; data integration architectural framework for directory and advertising company; global data architecture framework and compliance to major regulatory requirements (Basel II, Sarbanes-Oxley, International Financial Reporting Standards) for a leading Australian financial institution. Emy was chairperson of the International DB2 Users Group - Asia Pacific in 1999. Emy has interviews on data warehouse and leading edge system implementation featured in publications such as The Age and Computerworld.

Terence Walsh - Principal Consultant

Terence WalshTerry has over 15 years experience working in IT for the Food, Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing Industries. With a focus on Quality, Terry has applied the principles of Good Engineering and Manufacturing Practices to all aspects of IT work across a range of industries. Terry has helped deliver some of the world’s biggest projects in the last decade spending over 4 years helping deliver a 2 billion dollar Biopharma facility for Wyeth Biotech. Terry has an extensive working knowledge of the Australian and New Zealand (ANFZFA) Food Safety Standards and HACCP programs enabling ECI to be an industry leader in Food , Pharma and Manufacturing Data Architecture and Governance.

David Nemirovsky - Principal Consultant

David NemirovskyDavid has over 15 years of experience working in the Information Management industry. One of David’s main competencies is IBM’s InfoSphere Information Server suite of tools. David has consulted and been a trusted advisor to Tier 1 Telco’s, international manufacturing and financial enterprises. He is experienced in Grid Computing which is relatively new in Australia. David is the only certified IBM Information Management trainer in Asia Pacific. David has helped architect and deliver Australia’s largest Data Migration to-date which spanned across client’s Business and Operational source systems. During 2010 David helped deliver a Master Data Management initiative which brought the start of a 360° view of their customers from all divisions of the enterprise. David pioneered new solutions that enabled easy refinement for catching customer duplicates. His implementation was business user friendly and is now used globally for other implementations.

Malcolm Frew - Principal Consultant

Malcolm FrewMalcolm has over 30 years of IT experience much of this in the specialist areas of data management and data modelling. Malcolm was first introduced to data management concepts (structure systems analysis and design techniques) in the early 1980s as part of an extended training program. Since then Malcolm has worked as data administrator, database administration manager and data management consultant for British and Australian organisations, both private and governmental. In these roles, Malcolm has developed data management strategies and has written and delivered data management and data modelling training courses for both internal and external participants. In all this time, Malcolm has maintained 'hands-on' contact with data management practices, including logical functional and data modelling and database administration. In more recent years, Malcolm has specialised in all aspects of data warehouse development. Malcolm's roles have included responsibility for requirements analysis, logical data design, ETL design and build, reporting environment design and construction. Malcolm's technical skills include state-of-the art ETL and BI tools. Malcolm is a full Elite member of the British Computer Society.
