How EC Integrators helped the University of New England to develop a data management strategy to enable its Executives to make informed decisions
Enterprise Data Management Framework And Data Governance
Bringing Trusted Data to The Classroom
The University of New England (UNE) was originally established as a regional campus to pioneer distance education by correspondence. Of the 22,500 students enrolled in UNE, less than 4,000 students physically study on campus in Armidale, with the rest studying online.
UNE is facing strong competition from universities that had been innovative in recruiting online students. UNE also faces competition from other regional universities for physical on campus students. With the online student market growing exponentially, UNE needs to retain its proportion of the market share.
UNE Executives also needs the necessary trust and confidence with information derived from data to make informed decisions.
As UNE relies more heavily on data as a corporate asset, creating a clear Data Management Framework was needed to develop a roadmap of initiatives that would support UNE’s immediate and long-term business data requirements. The Framework would also enable UNE’s Executives to make informed decisions on trusted data.
EC Integrators (ECI) was engaged to develop a Data Management Framework to help to ensure that UNE Executives could trust that their decisions were based on accurate and timely data.
ECI helped UNE identify a software solution as part of UNE’s Data Management Framework.
ECI completed UNE’s new Data Management Framework on time and on budget. Importantly, ECI also delivered and implemented the software solution as part of UNE’s Data Management Framework, which would provide UNE with the trust it needed on critical reports.
ECI continues to provide on-going support to UNE for the execution of UNE’s Data Management Framework and Data Governance.
